Joseph Hoeller died Saturday of last week at his home near Vienna and was buried Monday from the Visitation church. He is survived by four children, Mike, George, Mary and Annie Hoeller all of the home and a foster daughter Mrs. Lawrence Volmert of Washington. His wife has ben dead for many years. Joseph's parents Johann George and Barbara (Richter)Hoellerer immigrated from Bavaria through Bremen on ship Itzstein-Welcker to the US, arrived New Orleans 12-18-1856. John was their first American child. Joseph their second American child He was born in what at the time was the Rich Fountain Area. Now it would be closer to Freeburg. But he is in the records at Sacred Heart. Joseph married Margaret "Maggie" Ollert 1886 in Vienna, Mo. Joe and brothers John and Frank decided to drop the extra er off their name. Although Frank's tombstone bears his birth name Franz Hoellerer.
