Sara Daniel Rowell
Macon - Sara Daniel Rowell, 78, died Saturday in a local hospital.

[Family] suggest that memorial contributions be made to Scleroderma Research foundation. . .Mrs. Rowell, wife of the late James Langston Rowell, was born in Bleckley County the daughter of the late Elijah Lee Roy and Mary Ruth Meadows Daniel. She was educated in El Paso, TX and had lived in Macon most of her life. Mrs. Rowell was a homemaker who was adored by her grandchildren whom she was instrumental in raising. She was their "Nanny." She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Kilgore (Al) and Jennifer Avant (Jany), all of Macon; her son, James Lee Roy Rowell of Macon; eight grandchildren, Keith, Kara Colin, Ashley, Amanda, Alex, Adam and Katie; her extended family, Teresa Highsmith and Laura Bloodworth, both of Macon; two sisters, Mary Ruth Zaida of Tucson, AZ and Reba Cook of Paint Rock, TX and nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her cat, "N.A."
