CHILDS, Mrs. Vivian Dunbar age 93, of Dayton, devoted mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully December 28, 2010. Born July 30, 1917 in a small town outside of Lexington, KY. Vivian retired from Senior Resources and later volunteered for the Red Cross for over 25 years. She was a kind and generous person who loved people. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Childs, Sr.; sister, Maureen Lewis; brother, Elsie Dunbar. She leaves behind her children, Thomas Jr. (Beverly), Frederick & Shelicia (Larry); grandchildren, Khary, Laron, Jimika & Deontae; a host of great grandchildren, other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Andre Hayes officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Tuesday at the funeral home until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Online condolences may be expressed at [email protected]
