======================================
Very little is positively known about Fisher. He attended West Point along with one of his brothers, but it is family tradition that when he was home for Christmas leave one year, he became fearful that he might lose his sweetheart, Laura, so he did not return to school, but married her. They had a very large family. He died after the Confederate War at the home of his son in Abbeville, SC, he was shot-murdered. He is buried there, as is his little granddaughter, Sarah Louisa Phillips. From the book "Ancestry of Gadsden Phillips (1860-1945) and Aurelia (Teasdale) Phillips (1867-1919) of Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA" complied by Mary Phillps Bayless 1985 page 64
