OAKBORO -- Mr. Edwards, age 74, of Oakboro, NC passed away on February 1, 2011 at Bethany Woods in Albemarle.
A graveside service will be held at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery Wednesday, February 2 at 4 PM. Military Honors will be performed by the Stanly County DAV.
He was born in Stanly County on August 5, 1936 to the late Charlie and Verna Edwards. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Benton Edwards; and a sister, Willie Jean Baucom.
Mr. Charles Edwards is survived by his brothers, Richard Leon Edwards and wife Melanie of Oakboro, Harold Brooks Edwards and wife Janice of Harrisburg; sister, Doris Ramelle Edwards of Oakboro; and sister-in-law, Aileen Edwards of Norwood.
