Lois was born to Wilford Lester Bills and Rhoda Vincent Bills on July 1, 1932. She attended South High School, where she met and later married Lynn H. Coombs in the Salt Lake Temple on September 26, 1952.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She served faithfully in many ward and stake callings. Lois was a great cook and loved to entertain. Her creativity was masterful and she was always willing to share her talents with family, friends, and various organizations.
She will be forever missed by her five children: Debra Calton (Dennis), Jeff Coombs (Carol), Randy Coombs (Lynda), Susan (Don Hales), Wendy Harman Chris Trujillo), fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and many more family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings; she is survived by one sister, Jean Cluff.
Funeral Services will be held in the Parley's First Ward Chapel, 2350 South 2100 East, Salt Lake City, UT, on Friday Februrary 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, UT, and one hour before the funeral in the Parley's First Ward Building.
