MARION - Eva Ammons Hunsucker, 89, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at Bethea Baptist Retirement Community after an illness. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Richardson Funeral Home in Marion. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum.
Mrs. Hunsucker was born October 19, 1921 in Mullins, a daughter of the late Lonnie Ammons and Annie Turbeville Ammons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Fred Hunsucker of Marion. She was also preceded in death by six brothers, J. C. Ammons, James Ammons, Lonnie Ammons, Jr. and Ralph Ammons, all of of Chester, Allan Ammons of Lakeview and S. T. Ammons of Mullins; and one sister Alice, who died as an infant.
Mrs. Hunsucker was a former member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church and a member of Bethea Baptist Church She loved her church family and friends at Reedy Creek and Bethea. Mrs. Hunsucker worked at Lewco Mills and Sunfun Sportswear in Marion for many years. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Fred Wesley Hunsucker (Jeannie) of Conyers, GA. and Robert Hunsucker (Dena) of Florence; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
