When Abbey's older sister Laura Elizabeth "Eliza" (Heidt) Fetzer died on Oct. 6, 1894, it was mentioned in the Lutheran Visitor afterward that she was survived by her parents and one brother (Thomas) and one sister (Harriet), so Abbey must have died sometime before her older sister Laura.
