Former Resident of Dorchester Will be Buried at Rosendale

Dorchester, March 3-Funeral services for William Smith, Sr., 77, will be conducted at the Vochtlander Church northwest of Dorchester at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Mr. Smith died at his home near Curtiss at 10 a.m. yesterday as a result of arterio-sclerosis. burial will take place at Rosendale.
Born in Germany on April 11, 1856, Mr. Smith came to this country many years ago and settled on a farm northwest of Dorchester where he lived for several years, later moving into the village, and then moving to Curtiss. He had been in his last place of residence about a year when he died.
Surviving relatives include his wife and the following children: Edward and Rollie, Eldorado; Frank and Raymond, Owen; William H. Albert and Elden, Curtiss; Mrs. Fred Hamm, Owen; Mrs. A. F. Balthazar, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Victor Beebee, Loveland, Colo; Mrs Engman Gilbertson, Withee; and Della and Evelyn, Curtiss. Four children preceded him in death.
He is also survived by three brothers, Charles, Curtiss; August, Rosendale; and Julius, North Fond du Lac; and by two sisters, Minnie Miller, Fond du Lac; and Augusta Stollfus, Eldorado; and 26 grandchildren.
The body will lie in state at the Fuchsgruber undertaking parlors in Dorchester until Tuesday morning.
