The Henderson County, Tenn., native was a retired inspector at Fruit of the Loom and member of Three Springs Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Albert Britton Beal and Mary Elizabeth Tubbs Beal and the wife of the late James W. Hargis. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe, Tom, Dave and Wesley Beal; and a sister, Sue Nanney.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, James Ronald Hargis of Bowling Green; two daughters, Judy Stevens and her husband, Henry, of Brook, Ind., and Sandra Dickerson and her husband, Ray, of Bowling Green; two brothers, Leon Beal and his wife, Billie, and Dennis Beal and his wife, Louise, all of McKenzie, Tenn.; two sisters, Ineta Bevill of Henry, Tenn., and Penny Bishop and her husband, Jr., of McKenzie; six grandchildren, Jennifer Wimpee, Kimberly Davidson, Leslie Lutz, Angela Coyle, Robin Burton and Amber Bray; and nine great-grandchildren, Tommy and Travis Roberts, Matthew Alford, Reagan and Andrew Davidson, Tyler and Rebekah Lutz and Brandon and Rhiley Burton.
