Stenson died May 11 in Robbinsdale. He was born Oct. 1, 1918 in Minneapolis to Claire and Blanche Moore Stenson. He was retired after 31 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Alice Irwin; brothers, Eugene and Daniel; sister, Ada Hashman; children, Joy Pederson, Jackie (Jack) vanZeist, Terry (Eva), Timothy (Beverly), Julie (Don) Nelson, Randolph (Rachel), Kevin (Jacalyn); stepchildren, Lavonne Kranz, Marie Miller, Tom (Melonie) Irwin, Loren (Peggy) Irwin; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Shirley; sisters, Helen Stenson and Dorothy Elmer; brothers, Leonard, William, Dale and Delbert; and son-in-law, Richard Pederson.
