THE LAMPASAS LEADER
FRIDAY, JULY 10, 1903
Leeberry Springer Dead.
Editor Leader - My father, Leeberry Springer, died July 1, 1903, after being confined to his bed for about 7 months. He was born in Meringo county, Ala., Feb. 26, 1824; was "born again" in 1839, and united with the Baptist church and served as deacon for nearly 40 years. He was one among the oldest Masons in the state. Was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Richmond, Miss., in 1859. He was willing and ready to die. His body is sweetly reposing in the Sterling City cemetery.
