I think John and Miner moved to Mississippi between June 1845 when they were dismissed from Mt Pleasant Church, in Alabama and the Nov 1850 Census where they were listed on the Monroe Co., Mississippi Census.
John is believed to be buried in New Chapel Cemetery, Itawamba Co., Mississippi.
Miner's parents: Michael Whatley Jr. (1757-1840) and Hannah Rhodes (1753-After 1815).
