Mrs. Clara Ackerman, 92. formerly of 530 Forest Ave., died Saturday, Aug. 27, 1988, at Americana Healthcare Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1895, to August and Lena Neumann Voss at New Hampton, Iowa. On June 17, 1919, she married Henry Ackerman at St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Ackerman was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Federated Women's Club, Daughters of Isabella, The Grandmothers Club, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and a 60-year member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Helen Anheuser, Fond du Lac; one son, Dr. John H. Ackerman of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Jan Kieliszewski will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. '
