Mr. Stuckey aslo known to many as Uncle Dick, loved people and never met a stranger. You didn't have to be blood kin to call him uncle. He loved God, his country, his family, and his church. He was a charter member of Oak Hill Baptist and served as a deacon since January 8, 1967, as well as Sunday School superintendant and Sunday School teacher for many years. He is a 31 year retiree of International Paper Co. He served in World War II from August 28, 1942 till January 10, 1946. He was born in Eros, LA on August 15, 1921 and departed this life July 10, 2010 at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe, LA from a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Beatrice Bradshaw Stuckey from July 10, 1954 till she passed away November 15, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Bradshaw Stuckey, father, George Leslie Stuckey, mother, Alice Neomi Davis Stuckey, brothers, Ishmael (Sonny) and Travis Stuckey; sisters, Cloteal (Skeeter) McCorkel, Clydell Thomas, Brittie Perkins, and Claudean Bratten.
