Funeral services for Clydell Thomas, 83, of West Monroe will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 29, 2005 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Gene Thomas and Rev. Norris Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Jonesboro, LA.

She was known to a lot of people simply as Aunt Clydell. She loved to sew and was always sewing for someone. She worked at Haneline's Men's Wear for quite a few years, and also Silverstien. In years past she really enjoyed going camping and fishing.

Most of all she loved to have her girls around and all the grandchildren. It was always a fun time for the kids to be at grandma's house.

She was a faithful to the lord and her church. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in West Monroe. She also loved good gospel music.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Thomas and a grandson Crispin Kelly.

Survivors include two daughters Mary Annette Simmons and husband Walter, Patsy Marie Thomas and husband Gene; four grandchildren Karon Kelly and husband Bill, Patty Watts and husband Sonny, Carol Eldridge and husband Tommy, and David Thomas; five great grandchildren, Stefanie McBride and husband Michael, Heather Watts, Mallory Watts, Tyler Eldridge, Jeremy Eldridge, and one great great grandson Rylee Grayson McBribe.

Pallbearers will be Michael Morris, Ralph Morris, Tony Morris, Earl Glenn Stuckey, Danny Stuckey, Dennis Bratton, Jerry Lynn Stuckey, and Charles Wayne Stuckey.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM October 28, 2005 at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Memorial may be made to the Baptist Children Home or Gideon's International.
