Tom Lee Bright, Sr., 71, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.
He was an Evangelist and Director for Online Academy of Biblical Studies and member of Phillips Street Church of Christ. Evangelism was his life.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Street Church of Christ with Bro. Ted Thrasher, Bro. Tom Bright, Jr. and Bro. Terry Lyon officiating. Burial will be in Sapulpa, OK. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Jane "Janey" (Jelsma) Bright of Dyersburg; a daughter, Michelle Lyons and husband, Terry, of Eau Claire, WI.; a son, Tom Lee Bright, Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Frisco, TX.; and five grandchildren, Kristen Bright of Frisco, TX., Lee Lyons, Garrett Lyons, Seth Lyons and Alyssa Lyons, all of Eau Claire, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery Arbuth and Ida Mae Richey Bright; a grandson, Matthew Blake Bright; a sister, Doris Padgett; and two brothers, Bill Bright and Richard Bright.
Pallbearers will be Lee Lyons, Garrett Lyons, Seth Lyons, Bobby Diggs, Edgar Shults and Glen Phillips.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to Online Biblical Studies thru Phillips Street Church of Christ.
