Sybil Robbins was born May 2, 1914 in Alexis, Illinois to Micajah & Eliza Meador Robbins. She was the 4th of nine children. Her dad was a farmer and also worked on the levees in Louisiana. He returned to Missouri where the children went to school in Whitham. She said she remembered having rhubarb pie for her birthday each year. When her brother went out to work in California she went on one of his trips and stayed. She married Donald Eugene Scott in Las Vegas in 1937. She loved to cook and sew, she made most all the clothes her children worn and on Sundays she fed everyone that came to visit. No one could make fried chicken and gravy like she did. Sybil passed away on her birthday in 2003.
