Robert Lee Leonard, Jr., 71, of River Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at his home after a sudden illness.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Chris Hawks. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Leonard was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Davidson County to Robert Lee Leonard, Sr. and Myrtle Hill Leonard. A member of Lake View Baptist Church, he was retired from Grinnell Fire Protection Systems and was owner and operator of Leonard, Leonard & Woodle Masonary Construction Co. for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Cato Leonard of the home; two sons, Butch Leonard of Salisbury and Carey Leonard of Tyro; a daughter, Kathie Craver of Reedy Creek; two sisters, Lorine Woodle of Linwood and Nancy Elliott of Tyro; five grandchildren.
The family received friends Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
