Patrick Carroll Guina was the first born to Edward Jeremiah Guina and Estella Marie (Finn) Guina in Radisson, Saskatchewan, Canada. As he grew up he had 3 sisters and 3 brothers come along over time. All of his siblings moved to Silicon Valley area in California (before it was known as such). His next younger sister, Mary, married Johnny Zimmer and raised 3 children in the Santa Cruz area. The next brother John Joseph "Jack" and his wife Faye lived in Soquel. His middle sister, J. Bernadette "Bernie", who married Ken Kelly, lived in San Jose, as did next three siblings, Bernard, who married Joan Shanahan, Rita, who married Jack E, and Edward "Ted" who married Lysiane "Lily" Toutain.
Patrick Carroll married Mary Hilda McNulty and they stayed in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where they farmed and raised a daughter, KellyAnn. Even his mother and father headed south. After his father passed away in 1950, his mother joined a convent in Monterey, CA. I for one, found it humorous as a youngster to tell other kids that my grandmother was a nun.....
