Mrs. Cora Abercrombie Lingerfelt, age 92 of Morganton, GA, passed away January 3, 2011 at Heritage Healthcare of Blue Ridge. Mrs. Lingerfelt was born in Fannin County to Miles and Addie Elrod Abercrombie on October 1, 1918. A member of New Hope Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lingerfelt.
Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Deleta Lingerfelt, son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Elizabeth Lingerfelt, brother & sister in law, Clyde & Doris Jean Abercrombie, 2 grandchildren; Nathan (Sarah Darlene) Lingerfelt & Brian Lingerfelt, 2 great grandchildren; Nicole, James Lingerfelt, many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm in the Henry Cochran Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 6, 2011 with remarks by Rick Goss. Music will be by Robert Buchanan. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Henry Cochran Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 beginning at 1:00pm.
