Sharon Ann (Blair) Brown, 72, lifelong Hardesty area resident, passed away Saturday morning, January 29, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of James Robert and Ruby Lorraine (Neff) Blair, she was born June 13, 1938 in Tyrone, Oklahoma.

Sharon and Jimmie Brown were united in marriage on June 8, 1957 at the Bethel Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of the Hardesty United Methodist Church, where she was the pianist.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jimmie Brown; four daughters and their families: Donia and husband, Craig Anderson of Fort Collins, Colorado, Nancy and husband, Curt Overton of Texhoma, Oklahoma, Tammy and husband, Kim Overton of Amarillo, Texas and Lisa and husband, Gary Ward of Canyon, Texas. She is also survived by seven energetic grandchildren and three wonderful great grandchildren; three brothers: Edward and Rena Blair of Leakey, Texas, Tommy and Karen Blair of Neosho, Missouri and Bobby and Doris Blair of Sterling, Oklahoma; and brother-in-law, Gayle and Alberta Brown of Hardesty.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, January 31st at 2:00 p.m. at the Hardesty School Auditorium with Pastor Herb Bridgewater and Chris Liebman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartville Cemetery, southeast of Hardesty. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

There will be a time of visitation with the family on Sunday evening, January 30th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Hartville Cemetery Fund or to a charity of choice. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
