Nancy Ann Overton, 53, of Texhoma passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her home.

The daughter of James L. "Jimmie" and Sharon Ann (Blair) Brown, she was born June 5, 1960 in Perryton, Texas. Nancy attended the Hardesty school system, graduating with the Hardesty Class of 1978. She then attended Panhandle State University, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981.

Nancy worked as a school teacher for 26 years, teaching in Plainview and Goodwell. She was a member of the Texhoma United Methodist Church.

Nancy and Curtis Wayne Overton were united in marriage on March 9, 1981 in Hardesty, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2011.

In addition to her husband, Curt, she was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Brown on January 29, 2011.

Survivors include one daughter, Chani Ferguson and husband, Trevor of Amarillo, Texas; one son, Cash Overton of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two grandchildren: Oakley and Kensi Ferguson; her father, Jimmie Brown of Hardesty, Oklahoma; three sisters: Donia Andersen and husband, Craig of Fort Collins, Colorado, Tammy Overton and husband, Kim of Amarillo, Texas and Lisa Ward and husband, Gary of Canyon, Texas; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, February 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Texhoma United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Roach officiating. Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials in memory of Nancy can be given to a charity of choice and will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
