Actor. Born in New York City, after serving in the US Army Air Corps in Worlds War II, he studied drama and made stage debut in the Broadway production of "Rhinoceros" in 1961. His first television appearance came in "The Defenders" in 1961 and he went on to be a veteran of blue-collar cop shows including "East Side, West Side","King", "The Trials of O'Brien", plus had memorable roles as Police Chief Gil McGowan on "Another World" and as Police Chief Carl Kanisky on "Gimme a Break!". For feature films, his many credits include "The Young Doctors" (1961), "The Swimmer" (1968), "The New Centurions" (1972), "Amazing Grace" (1974), "Heaven Can Wait" (1978) and "The Wanders" (1979). He died at age 64 in Tarzana, California.
