She was born in Wirt County March 5, 1892, a daughter of the late Freemont and Nancy Hall Boice and was married to Cornelius Edwards, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church at Palestine.
Surviving her are seven daughers, Mrs. Freda Reed, Brady Lake, O., Mrs. Ella Robinson and Mrs. Oma McFee, both of Rt. 4, Elizabeth, Mrs. Hazel Garretson and Mrs. Mary Garretson, both of Newcomerstown, O., Mrs. Juanita Koch, Maysel W.Va., and Mrs. Loraine Goff of Rt. 1, Newcomerstown; two sons, Emmett Edwards, Parkersburg, and Cecil Edwards, at whose home she died.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ola Edwards, Parkersburg, Mrs. Clara Cox of Steubenville, O., and Mrs. Ethel Conrad of Belpre, O.; 34 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at the Pomroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with the Rev. E.J. Roberts of Parkersburg officiating. Interment was in the Palestine Cemetery.
