Awfully Sudden Death— Another Early Settler Gone— Personal and Other Note There died on the 17th instant at her residence Rachel Clump relict of the late Elam Green in the 68th year of her age .Mrs Green was born on the farm now owned by her brother Mr Cornelius Clump at that time the property of her father "which was purchased by him on his coming to Canada from New York. Her life has been spent in this section for the most part the uneventful life of a farm, reserved and quiet in disposition .She was best known and appreciated by her immediate circle of relatives and friends. She was a regular attendant at the Baptist chnrch until prevented by advancing years. Her remains were followed to the grave Friday alternoon by a large concourse of relatives and friends .Funeral services were oonducted in the Baptist chnrch by the Rev Dr. Murdoch, after which she was laid to rest in the Methodist cemetery . One daughter and two sons are left to mourn the lose of an affectionate mother.
