Mrs. Gladys H. Staggs, 86, of Florence, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003.The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Spry Serenity Chapel, with the Rev. Roy Snow and the Rev. Lee Allison officiating. Interment will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.Mrs. Staggs retired as a sales associate from J.C. Penney after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.Survivors include stepdaughters, Christine Ingram, Florence, Ala., and Magdalene Willis, Alameda, Calif.; sisters, Era Townsel and husband, Odell, Florence, Ala., Laura Craft, Nitrate City, Ala., Pauline Wright, Leighton, Ala.; and a host of nieces and nephews.Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence, is directing.
