Mr. Haley
Vard M. Haley, 95, Rt. 1, Sheffield, died today at Oak Crest Nursing Home, Tuscumbia.
He was a native of Winston County, had lived in Colbert 30 years, was a retired farmer and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home, Sheffield, with Rev. Walter Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Masterson Cemetery, Lawrence County.
He is survived by a son, Wallace Haley, Hartselle, daughters, Mrs. Alma Masterson, Town Creek, Mrs. Gladys Staggs, Florence, Mrs. Era Townsel, Killen, Mrs. Laura Craft, Sheffield, Mrs. Pauline Wright, Sheffield; 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Martha Downey, Town Creek.
Bearers will be grandsons.
