Goldie Elizabeth Long, 86, Fourth Ave., Gallipolis, O., Wednesday, at 7:14 p.m., Holzer Medical Center after a long illness.

She was a member of the Bidwell Church of Christ, Bidwell, O. She also was a retired cook after 36 years at Washington Elementary School, Gallipolis, O.

She was born Sept. 26, 1892 in Glenwood. She was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Luella Hudson Fetty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Lacy Long.

Surviving are a son, Reuben Samuel Long, Gallipolis, O.; a daughter, Maudie Mae, Columbus, O.; four sisters, Mamie Villars, Georgie Wray, Nannie Wray, Pearl Doty, all of Columbus; a brother, Johnny Fetty, Beaver, O.; and 30 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, at 10 a.m., at the Stevens Funeral Home with L. Steele officiating. Burial will follow at the Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, O.

Friends may call at the Stevens Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
