Samuel V. Fetty, 78, Route 1, Beaver, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Pike County Hospital following an illness of several months.

Mr. Fetty, a retired farmer, was born April 29, 1898, in Mason County W. Va. to Samuel H. and Louella Hudson Fetty. On Nov. 14, 1923, he married the former Blanche Chapman, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mason (Martha) Harmon, Route 1, Waverly, Mrs. Mary Rauer, Washington Court House, and Mrs. Earl (Betty) Armburgey, Route 1, Beaver; three sons, Samuel L. and Howard, both of Columbus, and Frank, Huntington, W. Va.; 31 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Mamie Villers, Florida, Mrs. Goldie Long, Gallipolis, Mrs. Georgia Wray, Grove City, and Mrs. Annie Wray and Mrs. Pearl Doty, both of Columbus; and one brother, John A., Route 1, Beaver. He was predeceased by two sons, two sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, with Richard Mowery, minister, officiating.
