Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2002 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe for Alfred H. Dingmann age 80, who died Sunday at his home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. The Sisters of St. Francis will pray at 6:00 p.m., the Holy Family Catholic Aid Assn., St. Joseph's Society and Richmond Knights of Columbus will pray a rosary at 7:30 p.m., and parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m.
Alfred was born in Richmond, MN to Henry and Gertrude (Ramler) Dingmann. He married Viola Stang on October 9, 1946 in St. Martin. The couple farmed for 50 years. Alfred also did carpentry, painting and woodworking. He was member of the St. Agnes Parish, Holy Family Catholic Aid, and the St. Joseph Society.
Survivors include his wife; childre, Tom (Deb Henning), Vern (Terry Mattson), John (fiance Sue Knutson) of St. Cloud, Helen (Ken) Winkelman, Frank (Jeanette Weinmann) of Sauk Rapids, Judy (Steve) Gertken, George (Jan Worm), Betty (Art) Hommerding of Cold Spring, Sue (Lloyd) Linz and Brian of Richmond, Marilyn (John) Blonigen, Marcy (Ron) Thompson of Paynesville, Pete (Sue Hemmesch) of St. Martin, Anita (Daryl) Reicks of Des Moines, IA, Ann (1993)(Don and Barb) Saxton of Souix Falls, SD; brothers, William (Bill) and Joe of Richmond, Albert of Cold Spring; sisters, Irene (Ray) Schneider of Luxemburg, Sr. Virginia of Little Falls; 37 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ann; brothers, Raymond, Paul and Ervin; sisters, Dorothy and Frances Kohnen.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
