Fred McKenzie, 86, 517 N. Dill St., retired self-employed painter and decorator, died Saturday noon at Ball Hospital after becoming ill at his home earlier in the day. A native of Kirklin, he came to Muncie in 19918 from Frankton.
Survivors include his wife, Fern; a daughter, Mrs. William (Tootie) Falls, Muncie; three sons, Bernard K., Indianapolis, and Robert D. and Glenn, Muncie; three sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Cox and Mrs. Delsie Spences, Kirklin, and Mrs. Marie Norton, Muncie; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Parson Mortuary.
