WILMA FERN ALLEN, BIOGRAPHY

Miss Wilma Fern Allen was born on July 27, 1921, in Warrenton, Warren County, Missouri. She was the youngest of eight children born to Charles Perry "Charlie" Allen and Martha Lee "Mattie" (Hartley) Allen.

Miss Allen died on March 31, 1939, in Hawk Point, Lincoln County, Missouri. She was only 17 years, 8 months, and 4 days old. Her Certificate of Death indicates that she died as a result of Myocardial Insufficiency: inability of the myocardium to perform its function, heart failure.

Wilma Fern was preceded in death by her father, Charles Perry "Charlie" Allen, and her sister Eva Allen. She is survived by her mother; Martha Lee "Mattie" (Hartley) Allen; three sisters, Hannah May Allen, Jeanette Estelle Allen, and Martha Vivian Allen; and three brothers, Freeman Pearl Allen, Hiram Earl Allen, Jeanette Estelle Allen.

On April 02, 1939, Miss Allen was laid to rest at Cannon Cemetery, Hawk Point, Lincoln County, Missouri, where her father and sister are also buried.
