Lillie Naomi Muhlestein, 98, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born July 18, 1894 in Escalante, Utah, to William Alvey, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Heaps Alvey. She married Ephraim A. Muhlestein November 23, 1914 in Escalante, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, Nov. 23, 1916. They were long-time residents of Price and Standerville, Utah.She graduated from Escalante High School and attended Brigham Young Academy in Provo. She was a Relief Society president, visiting teacher, organist, chorister and had other callings. A member of the Utah Daughters of the Pioneers. Also, a substitute school teacher.

Survived by three sons and five daughters, Grant and (Lillie) Muhlestein, Salt Lake City; Arnold and (Dorthy) Muhlstein, Murray; Ray and (Joyce) Muhlestein, Sandy; Naomi and (Walter) Anderson, East Carbon City; Donna and Glen Truscott, Price; Joy and (Dan) Higbee, California; Gean Thorpe, Salt Lake City; Lillie Ann (Gareth) Peterson, Murray; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Ephraim, November 21, 1968 and one son, Lester, July 17, 1933.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 1993 at the Fausett Mortuary Chapel at 12 noon. Friend may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Price City Cemetery.
