Son John Peabody Palmer was b. May 5 1907 in Manhattan, NY, and the family then moved back to Seattle, where he gave an organ recital at the new cathedral. He served as organist and choir director at St James for 28 years.
Dr Palmer suffered a severe stroke on Palm Sunday, 1935. His wife May was with him during his weeks in Providence Hospital; son Paul was in NY and son John was the vice-consul in Genoa, Italy. John in Marseille in 1932 and in Saigon in 1938.
