Died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1993, in Zachary. He was 83, a native of Meadville, Miss., former resident of Vidalia and a resident of Baton Rouge for the past six years. He was an antique furniture salesman.

Visiting was held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Dr. Richard Lisk and assisted by the Rev. Fulton McGraw. Burial in Legion Memorial, Newellton.

Survived by a son, Gordon D. Arnold, Vidalia; three daughters, Jean Copeland, Baton Rouge, Reba Walker, West Monroe, and Frances Jarreau, New Roads; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Allene C. Arnold; and a son, Reuben Arnold.

Pallbearers will be Roy Arnold, Ray Arnold, Clyde Arnold, Norman Arnold, D.R. Benette and Burl Kennon.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Vidalia.
