Lewis Stouder, 91, died last Thursday evening at the Goshen home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Harry Clampitt, after an illness of several weeks.
He was born on July 3, 1853, in Union township, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Mishler) Stouder.
He married Lucinda Baker March 17, 1878, and she died on March 8, 1923.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs Clampitt and Mrs Luella Miller of Goshen, and Mrs Ernest Geiger of Lake City, Mich, and 2 sons, Mervin of New Paris and Milo of Goshen.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Union Center Church of the Brethren in charge of the Revs David Miller and John Frederick. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
