ANSON - Myrle Aileen Baxter, 78, died Tuesday, February 07, 2006, at Hendrick Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2006, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Garvin and Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence - Adams Funeral Home.

Born December 31, 1927 in Anson, Aileen was a daughter of the late Samuel and Clemmie (Blackerby) Garvin. She graduated from Anson High School and attended Hardin Simmons University. Aileen married Richard Odes Baxter February 2, 1950 in Anson. She worked for numerous An-
son doctors in the medical clinic for 53 years. Aileen was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir.

She was preceded in death by one sister (Jane Hodnett) and one brother (Samuel Garvin).

Survivors include her husband, Richard Odes Baxter of Anson; one sister, Mary Gaither and husband, Cecil of Vinita, OK; two brothers, Ron Garvin and wife, Nan of Mansfield and Joe Garvin and wife, Susanne of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made the Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory St., Abilene, TX 79601.
