David Arthur Long, 55, of Mtn. View entered into rest on January 20, 2011 in Mountain Home.

David was born August 7, 1955 in Batesville, Arkansas to Oliver and Mae (Diffey) Long. He was a Baptist minister and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Stone County Road Department. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Maynard and her husband Matt; sister, Robin Beckham and her husband Donald; two grandchildren, Elisha and Josiah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mae Long; his wife, Rita; son, Colby; two infant brothers and brother, Jimmy Long and sister, Lucille Greenway.

Visitation is 5 – 9 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 10 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church with Bro. David Campbell officiating and interment in Pordue Cemetery, Onia, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Stacy Avey, Roy Jones, Paul Ivy, Rick Van Evera, Barry Friese and Keith Martin. Honorary pallbearers are the Stone County Road Department.
