Thomas Edward Beaghan, 79, of Shenandoah, died on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at his home.
He was born on Oct 10, 1928, in Shenandoah and was a son of the late William J and Sudie Strole Beaghan.
Mr. Beaghan attended Shenandoah schools and was in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Avis O Comer Post 8613. Before retiring, he was employed with AMP in Mount Sidney.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Ruby Beaghan, are one son, Thomas Beaghan of Shenandoah; four daughters, Virginia "Susie" Beaghan and Raven Beaghan, both of Shenandoah, Tammy Hammer of Elkton, and Felicia Good of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Joyce Morris of Shenandoah, and Jennette Gordon of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Lam; and two brothers, Billy and Glen Beaghan.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah by the Rev. Carter Dean and the Rev. Jimmy Kite. Burial will follow in the Methodist Cemetery.
The family was to receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at the funeral home.
