SHENANDOAH - William Joseph Beaghan, Sr., 65, of Shenandoah, died Sunday evening at Rockingham Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday.
Mr. Beaghan was a retired coal wharf operator for the Norfolk & Western Railroad. He was born here, Aug. 20, 1895, a son of Thomas E. and Jeanette Coverstone Beaghan. He was a member of the Holy Infant Catholic Church at Elkton.
Mr. Beaghan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sudie Strole Beaghan; one step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret Crall, of Hollywood, Calif.; three sons, W. J. Beaghan, Jr., Glennwood Beaghan, and Thomas E. Beaghan, all of Shenandoah; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Gordon, of Washington nnd Miss Joyce Gale Beaghan, at home; four grandchildren; two brothers, George F. Beaghan and John J. Beaghan, one sister, Mrs. Mary K. Hensley, all of Shenandoah.
The body is at the Warren G. Kyger Funeral Home here pending funeral arrangements.
