Herman Ashford Funeral Services to be Wednesday
Funeral services for Herman M. (Red) Ashford, 76, of 508 SE 35th Ave., who died at 3:35 p.m. Monday, will be held at at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the North Oak Church of Christ, with Ministers W. B. Clark and Ray Crook officiating. Interment will be in the Sturdivant Cemetery. Baum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ashford had lived in Mineral Wells most of his life and was a welder by trade. Born June 7, 1894 in Parker County, he was the son of the late Earnest and Mrs. Columbus (Littlefield) Ashford. He was married to Hazel Patterson on January 31, 1915 in Millsap. He was a member of the North Oak Church of Christ.

Survivors include his widow, Hazel; one son, Hollis Ashford, Mineral Wells; one daughter, Mrs. Lecil Sikes, Mineral Wells; two brothers, Guy Ashford, Turkey and Cecil Ashford, Amarillo; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Dobbins, Northfield and Mrs. Earnestine Florence, Lubbock; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Boyd Pilgrim, Lee Dalton, J. N. Norris, R. S. Camfield, Francis Palmer and Jack Purser. - obituary
