Services for Lecil Cline Sikes, 78, of Bertram will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in North Oak Church of Christ in Mineral Wells with Brad Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery under the direction of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.

Mrs. Skies {sic} died Monday, Nov. 14, 1994, in a Round Rock hospital.

The daughter of Herman and Hazel Patterson Ashford was born in Millsap on April 4, 1916. She married Bennie Sikes in Jacksboro on Jan. 11, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1988. A hairdresser, she had lived most of her life in Mineral wells. She was a member of the North Oak Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son Duey Cline of Mineral Wells; two daughters, Velva Jo McDaniel of Bertram and Davene Lowe of Mineral Wells; three stepdaughters, Opal Paxton of Granbury, Jean Dodge of Blum and Mae Ellis of Dallas; a brother Hollis Ashford of Converse, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. - obituary
