He was quite the entrepreneur! A partner with Mr. Mossberg of Mossberg Tool Co. They made monkey wrenches. Also, Charles was the founder of Downeyflake Donuts (which were said to be the best around at that time). He was the builder of many homes in Key West, FL but they were all destroyed in the hurricane of 1928. He was the owner of US Rapid Fire Machine Gun Co. in Derby, CT, manager for The Italian Steamship Line and was a well-known manufacturer of jewely in Attleboro, MA. He was 9th direct descendent of Roger Williams, founder of RI.
He had stomach cancer and at that time Cobalt treatments were the state of the art for curing it....at $1000. per treatment. He went frequently to Mass. General Hospital, Boston for those treatments, to no avail.
Charles ancestry was 8th generation, direct descendent of Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island. He was the son of Sgt. Charles Phillips Williams and Ann M. (Davis) Williams and had one sibling, Annie May who married William Henry Cole. He married Mary Ada Desjardins Williams, on January 4, 1883 in Attleboro, MA. They were married one month shy of 55 years, until his death.

There is a record that shows he and his wife, hosted at their home, her sister Katherine Valarie and fiance, Samuel Jackson Seaman's wedding on August 31, 1918, in New Rochele, New York. It was her sister's 3rd marriage.

His father lived with Charles Henry after Charles Phillip's second wife died.

Charles Henry is buried with is wife, their son Charles Roger Williams, Sr. and daughter-in-law Helen Starr Randall Williams, and his wife's parents Charles B. DesJardins and Mary Elizabeth Capron. Also his wife's brother Charles Leon and her father's 2nd wife Lillian F. McRae.
