Edward G. Holloway, Sr. RICHLAND - Reverend Edward Grier Holloway, Sr., 75, of Lumpkin, GA, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Morris Baptist Church in Morris, GA with Rev. Mike Hartley, Rev. Raymond Smith and Leon Sparks officiating. Special music will be provided by Martha Jordan and Sally Watley. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery in Stewart County. Rev. Holloway was born April 2, 1934 in Lumpkin to Paul L. and Edna Earl Grier Holloway. He lived in the area all of his life and had worked as a teacher, an antiques dealer and as a minister at many churches in the area. Brother Ed recently retired as Pastor of Morris Baptist Church after 49 years of service. He was a Mason with Cross Lodge #173 in Lumpkin and was a passionate quail hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandson Clay Adams. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma "Snooky" Lynch Holloway of Lumpkin; by two sons, Grier Holloway and Matt Holloway (Anne), all of Lumpkin; by a daughter, Polly Adams (Terry) of Preston; by six grandchildren: Nikki Bryant (Robert), Missi Grimsley, Crissi Adams (fianc�� Carson Hinman), Lin Holloway, Jay Holloway and MaryAnn Holloway; by three great grandchildren: Addison Grimsley, Skyler Bryant and Lex Bryant; by sister-in-law Carney Misulia (Andy); by nieces and nephews: Charles and Nicholas Misulia and Angel Bradshaw (Rusty); and by numerous cousins.
