Esthrville - Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Mae Anderson, 73, a former Estherville resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Christian Church with the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating and burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday evening at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Mrs. Anderson was born June 25, 1902 at Marathon to Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Van Valkenburg. She moved to Estherville at an early age with her parents and was educated in Estherville. On Nov. 4, 1925 she was married to Oscar Anderson at Jackson, Minn. Mr. Anderson died in 1959 and Mrs. Anderson lived in the Estherville area until the past two years when she lived with a daughter in Hartford, S.D.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne, Corona, Calif.; Ronald, Mira Loma, Calif.; and Richard, Barnum; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Rose Marie) Rosee, Hartford, S.D.; and Mrs. Dan (Marilyn) Moyer, Terril; 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one brother, James Van Valkenburg, Estherville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and two sisters.
