PIONEERS PASS AWAY
Manawa Reports Deaths of Three Old Settlers
Manawa, Wis., Feb. 19.--The funeral was held yesterday of Isaac Hayford, the third of three pioneers of the town of Royalton who have died within three days. Mr. Hayford was many years the largest producer of maple sugar in central Wisconsin. GEORGE HUMES, for forty years a resident of Royalton, was buried Tuesday in the same cemetery. Mrs. Margaret Ritchie, who had lived in Royalton over forty years, was buried Monday. These three pioneers, each about eighty years of age, were almost life-long acquaintances and their deaths so nearly simultaneously is a rather remarkable coincidence.
