John H. Arnold. 82, retired farmer, died at 6:40 p.m. Friday at Muscatine General hospital. He resided at 1115 Oak street.
The body was taken to the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home, where funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Memorial cemetery.
The son of Gilbert and Jenella Luman Arnold, he was born Nov. 28, 1876, in Fleming county, Ky. When a small child he came with his family to Muscatine county, near Atalissa. He was married to Emma S. Meyers. Dec. 6, 1899, near Nichols.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Beryl DeVore, Atalissa, Mrs. Ruth Aye, Muscatine, and Mrs. Odetta Mills, Nichols; one brother. Otis Arnold, Atalissa; two sisters, Mrs. A. N. Rabe and Mrs. Guy Hildebrand, West Liberty; 32 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
