Mrs. Abbie Garman, widow of the late John Garman of Uniontown, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alexander Douglass, on Dec. 11. She was aged 91 years and was one of the oldest residents of the county. Besides the daughter named, she is survived by one son, Daniel Garman, of Montgomery township, and another daughter, Mrs. Clark Jones, of White township. Interment was made in Uniontown cemetery on Dec 13.

NOTE: Abigail Plough (daughter of John Plough) first married a Mr. Brashears and they had 3 children: Commodore, Sarah Catherine and John. Mr. Brashears died before 1850. In 1855, Abigail Plough Brashears married widower John Garman in Hamilton county, Ohio.
