Emma Jane Snoderly, daughter of Elizabeth Jane "Eliza" (Cotten) and Benjamin Franklin Houston, was born July 10, 1895, in Bagnell, Miller County, MO, and departed this life, June 7, 1990, at Lake Ozark General Hospital, Osage Beach, MO, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 28 days.

Janie was united in marriage to Lee DeValcas Snoderly on September 27, 1917. They were long-time members of Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include four children, Ruby (Chester), Roy (Willene), Juanita and Glynn (Wanda); 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 9 brothers, 5 sisters, her husband and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, June 10, at 2 p.m., under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Oaklawn Cemetery. Escorts were grandsons, Don Goforth, Greg Snoderly, Dave Ortman, Bob Goforth, Bill Buck, and Rick Beeson.
